Turn away a real kid
The house gets egged
You hear the splats, then laughter running off down the street. Nobody else comes to the door until you take a bucket out into the dark and scrub every egg off.
It's Halloween night. You're babysitting, the parents won't be home until midnight, and the doorbell won't stop. Most of the visitors are kids in costumes. Some of them are something else.

The parents are out for the night and you're babysitting. They'll be home by midnight. It's cozy inside. There's a jigsaw puzzle on the dining table, a bowl of candy by the door and pumpkins on the porch.
All you have to do is hand out candy until they get back. Then the doorbell rings.
There are only two answers at the door. One of them is wrong, and you won't know which until it's too late.
The bell rings, or a fist hits the door. Leave it and the knocking gets louder.
Someone is on the porch with a bag held out. They say the words.
Hand some over, or say you're out. There's no third option, and the bowl runs low.
Most visitors say thanks and walk off. Some of them don't leave.
Most of them are kids. Some of them are not. Point at a visitor to open the door, or tap one on your phone.

Game over. Hit Continue and you're back at the start of the hour. It knocks again, and this time you know what it is. Some of them want candy. Some of them want you to say no.
